BEHIND THE CREATIONS

As a young buck, making donuts was my first introduction to baking and I immediately fell in love with the fundamentals as a fellow artist in the multimedia space. The creativity, and precision of it all was what truly peaked my interest. Ever since then, my wife and I have bounced around the idea of bringing my own personal creations to light.

One of our first purchases to start was this big butcher block we found which sparked the idea of naming my business “Sugar ‘Block’ Bakery”. With the idea in mind of creating moody and dark masculine-like flavors, my menu quickly grew from a rich bittersweet cookie like “Morning Coffee” to our most popular flavor “Bourbon Nights”.

The thought of starting my own bakery menu was truly hard to believe, but with the support of my regulars making orders and showing curiosity for new ideas it’s all been quite worth it!

Our future plans will take time to come to fruition, but we hope with proper planning and close attention to detail that we will soon be able to offer a local store pick-up or who knows maybe even an official store front/food truck. My wife has even shown major interest in learning the fundamentals of brewing the perfect cup of coffee to pair with these delicious pastries! I genuinely can’t wait to see what the future holds for us, and I hope to see you all there as we continue to grow.
